We don’t have a bad word to say! Amazing place! For the price we paid, it exceeded our expectations. The food was sensational and the spa treatments were of incredibly high quality (better than in the UK). The beach is lovely and you can pay 100 baht for a sun lounger with umbrella which is great. We would go straight after breakfast for a few hours.

After our morning yoga class (which was perfect for both beginner and well seasoned practitioners), we would go for breakfast which was so delicious! Fresh and healthy, we loved the resorts green tea and roselle juice! The staff in the restaurant and by the pool are just amazing! They’re glowing smiles are infectious anne we so enjoyed seeing them every day! An added bonus is that there is a free shuttle to the beach throughout the day.
Every night, we went to bed looking forward to the yoga class in the morning! The Prana Sala is a beautiful place to practice. The yoga teachers were fabulous and their classes had so much Soul. My mum came with me and we were just blown away. – It was my first wellbeing retreat and I chose the mangosteen based on the nice balance of yoga, massage and nurturing food. Allison and I had a perfect stay and hope to be back. They were always polite, smiling and nothing was too much trouble. It is a good sign when enthusiasm still exists in staff after being here often 10 years or more. This resort is owned by a lovely couple and the staff seem very happy here. The area of Rawai and Chalong has plenty to see and do if you enjoy a slower, relaxed pace with plenty of places to eat and drink.

We had noticed taxis were quite expensive in Phuket and the prices at the foyer were comparable to others, however we discovered other taxi drivers from outside the resort were more enthusiastic and informative. We actually think the membership is quite a good deal and would join had our circumstances been different. We enjoyed his company together with the complimentary drinks and lunch. The information regarding becoming a member of Mangosteen was delivered by Ivo in a pressure free and clear manner. Our favourite was the 5 Tastes of Asia Buffet. We we’re lucky to have a promotion price at 34aud each, however the prices are usually double that, if not more.
